Dear Fellow Rotarians,

As President of the Rotary Club Sunrise of Road Town for the past year, I continue to be filled with a need to give my heartfelt thanks to the officers, members, and friends of the club.  We have grown much together in this past year that passed so quickly.

Together, we co-hosted the Rotaract Club of Virgin Gorda, and I hope that we can continue to show our support to this growing club and encourage the youth to do great things in our community.  I will be visiting them from time to time as Immediate Past President, and it is my hope that some of you will join me.  We also launched the Green Machine computer initiative, delivering refurbished computers to the Isabella Morris Primary School.  We supported disaster relief in St. Vincent and The Philippines, something we should be very proud of.  I hope that we can continue these endeavours along with our other established initiatives in the community.

We celebrated our 5th year together with a wonderful meeting and a fellowship event, and I am eager to see what the next 5 years will bring.  Our club has grown to what feels like a true family, and I am proud of that.  I am very happy to hear that some of our previously-absent members have come back because the club simply feels good again.  Also, it is clear to me that we are no longer just the new club, but a club that stands upright on its own.  We achieved many accomplishments at the recent District Conference in Cayman, such as First Class Club, District Governor's Platinum Award, Public Image Citation, Club of the Month Bronze, and others.  Way to go Sunrise!!!

We had meetings that encouraged the free exchange of ideas amongst our members, such as Shame The Trashers!

Rotarians Edwin, Marvin, Jeanette, and Shana brought us 4 new members who are second-to-none, and I want to thank each of them for adding such quality members to our club.  Rotarians Karl, Kendall, Robert, and Maria, thank you for joining the best Rotary club available to you.  I am confident that you chose wisely, or in Karl's case, "SUNRISELY"!

I thoroughly enjoyed this past year, and I hope you did also.  Thanks to PE Jean, VP Corleen, Past President Allison, Secretary Jeanette, Sergeant-At-Arms Ken, Treasurer Rosemarie, Assistant Treasurer Mitchel, Directors Tamara, Fanny, Natalie, Monique, EarlyAct Chair Shana, and everyone else who gave their undying support.  It was a wonderful journey, and I am truly thankful for all of you and your dedication to getting the job done in the name of Rotary.  Thank you for serving so faithfully.

Thank you, Rotary Sunrise, our officers, members, and friends.  Thank you for the opportunity to serve a club that is dear to my heart.  I look forward to seeing it grow even further with your continued participation.  I am very excited about President-Elect Jean's upcoming year, and I hope that you give her even more of the same support that you gave me.

Yours In Rotary Service,

President Norman (for the last time)
